Salerno PFP Industry Software

The software simulates the transient heating of steelwork protected by a passive fire protection in one- dimensional configurations (planar, cylindrical or spherical geometry) under fire testing conditions. The model, developed by EnginSoft software, solves the one-dimensional heat transfer equation over a solid medium made of several layers of different materials and with boundary conditions describing the heating from a fire. The assumptions made, equations solved, and boundary conditions imposed are explained in the report. The properties of five commercial materials used by our company in its fire protection jackets has been obtained from manufactures and introduced in the input file. The model predictions have been compared to measurements taken during a jet fire test (ISO 22899-1) and a rapid fire test (UL1709). These comparisons have allowed setting the correct values for the boundary conditions for fire testing. The results show that all predictions remain within the spread bounds of the measurements and confirm the main assumptions of the model.

Tests, Certificates, Research, Warranty and Development

Thanks to an innovative product, OG has passed the most severe tests of hydrocarbons fireproof resistance, obtaining the relevant certificates issued by accredited institutions and laboratories in the Oil & Gas fields.
Tests made on OG products are in accordance to the main standards which regulate fireproof protections all over the world, as UL 1709 and ISO 22899-0TI 95 634.
Resistance tests in a “Jet Fire” condition and gas explosion “Blast Overpressure test” were made in laboratories directly credited by TRATER Register, while the hydrocarbon test curve according to the standard “UL 1709″ was made directly in ‘TRATER-TRATTAMENTI TERMICI INDUSTRIALI, MILANO, ITALY” and certified by TUV SUD ISO 9001.
Our technical department has adapted a software project, which has been especially studied for Salerno PFP Industry Products.
We may guarantee our products up to 10 years provided that we will pay a visit at site each two years for a general survey finalized to the renew of the certificate.
After the burning of the external fabric installed for the ceramic protection, The stainless-steel elements inside the blankets and inside the belts maintain in complete correct position the ceramic fibers for the component protection after the 15 Min < Fire cycle < 120 Min
